Welcome to Tarryn's website.
Tarryn completed her HSC at Davidson High School in 2009, becoming DUX of the school with an ATAR of 99.15. After independent inquiries and lots of hard work she was successful in applying to Oxford University to read Philosophy and Psychology.
Tarryn awarded "Most Outstanding Student"
by principal Mr Cawsey.
Though Tarryn holds dual Australian and British citizenship, at Oxford she will be considered an international student for fee paying purposes, meaning that she will incur costs over 3 times those of the ‘Home’ students. Furthermore, in order to take up her place at Oxford, she first needs to prove that she can pay for the entire three years of the course plus living expenses, an estimated £86,172 sterling.
These fees are well beyond the average person’s ability to afford, however, she is still determined to try. She currently has 4 jobs and is working very hard to try to earn what she can, but external help is needed. This website is devoted to fundraising.
Please consider making a donation in exchange for downloading “The Context Shop”, her HSC English Extension Two major work, or purchasing “HSC Hints” a magazine for year 11 and 12 students who wish to achieve high results in the HSC. Also, you will find details of upcoming fundraisers and events that you can attend.
